Province House bans lifted after Gallery protests last spring

Province House lifted bans for dozens of people after protests in March. Danielle Barkhouse, Speaker of the House of Assembly, says the decision was made after speaking to constituents, opposition party members and the Nova Scotia Arts Coalition. The recession is effective immediately. In a statement Barkhouse says while she remains concerned about what happened in March she recognizes the consensus of members of the House in opposition to the temporary bans and motivated by the spirit of constructive engagement she made the decision to rescind the bans.
